INCREDITUDE
Some very kind and generous friends, Dirk and Jill Freeland, organized a benefit party on November 7th, 2009 to help us on our healing journey. We couldn't be more thankful and humbled by this overwhelming gesture.
Or more at a loss how to thank EVERYONE for attending, for donating, for purchasing silent auction items...
The list seems short, and I'm sure I'm forgetting people, things, but here's my first attempt at recognizing those who were directly involved in the party itself, in no order whatsoever:
- Dirk and Jill Freeland, hosts and party planners who provided all the food and opened their hearts and home for the event. Jill also provided several pieces of her own original art for silent auction. Can't thank them enough for all their kindness, hard work, scheming...oh, and Jill works her Reiki magic on me as a Reiki practittioner, too. They're angels.
- Kate and Cortis Loukes, lots of scheming with Jill, donation of sarongs for silent auction, ("We have so many surprises for you!), a beautiful speech, song and healing throw (she made herself) from Miss Kate. Please visit Kate's website for details about Kate's work and her documentary film project, The Lived Experience.
- Jessica Rees, original art and giclee prints for silent auction, JUST GORGEOUS.
- J. Wilkes Wine, two cases of wine.
- Jane Watkins, assisted organization, donated or wrangled MULTIPLE silent auction items, brought food and TOOK LOTS OF PHOTOS - so great to have the event captured!
- Sharon Green, Ultimate Sailing Photography, I don't know how many 2010 calendars for purchase!
- Isla Vista Co-Op, silent auction gift basket and gift card for us.
- Points of Health, acupuncture for myself - i can't say enough about the accomodation, healing and kindness of the owners and practitioners of this clinic, but I'm going to try...
- Thomas Dabney, lobster dinner for four for silent auction.
- Malia Mor, MiaMor USA, donation of four exquisite, handmade sarongs and a shirt for Silent Auction
- Renaissance Consignment, Santa Barbara, jewelry for myself and silent auction.
- Jason Campbell and the Drive, the amazing local band that entertained us all night.
- Charlie and Tommie Calisti, for setting up and providing Jason Campbell and the Drive to entertain us - SO FUN!
- Shelley Meaney, gift basket for silent auction, books and inspirational cards for purchase.
- Caroline Grange, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Membership for Silent Auction.
- Silvergeens restaurant, gift cards.
And the rest of you - your love, your support, generousity, photos, donations...
Just overwhelmed with INCREDITUDE.
